AFIS is a system with a large database (up to millions) in which images of known fingerprints are converted into code. Utilizing this database of known fingerprints, other images of inked fingerprints and unidentified latent fingerprints are then searched through the system to determine identity.
QiSQi consults a fast and accurate fingerprint algorithm, which runs in identification up to 1 mio matches per second.
Recently the algorithm has been succesfully integrated in Malawi for their drivers license project.
The algorithm is compliant with the international biometric standards. It runs on Windows, Linux and PXA embedded boards.
